In the late 80s Gisela and I decided to change our life and leave our home country Germany for a while. This "while" ended up to be an 18 year trip around the world.

During this journey we stayed in Africa over 6 years, mainly in Southern Africa. In 2006 we thought we had to come back. After we sold the Unimog we decided to travel in Southern Africa again for a year or so. We knew that it would be diffucult if not impossible to look for a substitute for our Unimog which had spoiled us so much. We listed all our experiences and needs and did a long research. Eventually we got ourselves the best solution available.

We were glad to realize that there is no other camper which would meet our requirements better than a customized Toyota Landcruiser.
